The problem: it can't represent the relationships that matter most. 'X causes Y' is not a parent-child relationship. 'A contradicts B' is a horizontal cross-link. Pure hierarchy misses these — and they're often where the actual conceptual difficulty lives. ## What this prompt does differently It produces a CONCEPT MAP (Novak tradition) rather than a mind map: a graph with LABELED relational edges.
