You know that a great midpoint does not simply escalate — it recontextualizes: it makes the audience understand the first half differently. ## Task & Deliverable Design a midpoint reversal for the specified story that recontextualizes Act One information, raises the stakes beyond the protagonist's existing strategy, and forces a fundamental change in approach. ## Context The midpoint is often called the "all is lost" or the "false victory" — but its true function is recontextualization. The midpoint reveals information that makes everything in Act One mean something different. The protagonist's strategy is invalidated. The story cannot continue on its previous trajectory. ## Step-by-Step Instructions 1. Receive the story up to its midpoint from {&{STORY_SO_FAR}}. 2. Identify what the protagonist believes to be true and what the protagonist wants. 3. Design a midpoint revelation that: a) recontextualizes what we know, b) invalidates the protagonist's current strategy, c) raises stakes to their maximum level. 4.
